The shooting happened in the early morning hours of July 4.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports Gilbert Manso was shot twice during an attempted robbery.
According to an arrest report, Manso told Marion County Sheriff's deputies that Quinneshia Roberts and the teen put a handgun to Manso's head and demanded access to a safe. They shot him in the shoulder when he tried to defend himself.
Manso says they ran, but returned and shot him in the leg.
Deputies used a K-9 to track the pair. They are being held without bail on charges of robbery and attempted felony murder. Records don't indicate whether they have lawyers.
