Dealing with a fire at a Hollywood pain management clinic, firefighters found a message drawn in red on the side of the building: “U killed my son drug dealer.”
Hollywood firefighters and police, the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were all called out to aid in the investigation of the Tuesday night fire, which authorities said has been classified as suspicious.
Hollywood Fire Chief Joel Medina said Wednesday, ”We have found no correlation or no connection between the graffiti on the outside and the fire that actually occurred, but at this point in time we’re not ruling anything out.”
The fire is considered an arson case, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
Medina said firefighters were called at about 9:30 p.m. about the blaze at Hope Medical & Wellness on the 2800 block of Hollywood Boulevard, arriving to find heavy smoke and fire.
The fire nearly gutted the clinic operated by Dr. Nadel Shehata. His son told NBC 6 South Florida that he doesn't know who would do such a thing, adding that all of Shehata's patients love the place.
No injuries were reported.
