Victim Shoots at Robbers in Pembroke Pines: Police

Police in Pembroke Pines are looking for a pair of robbers - one of whom might be suffering from gunshot wounds - after their victim turned the tables and fired at them early Friday morning.

The 29-year-old victim was arriving at his apartment at the Palms of Pembroke around 6 a.m. in his Porsche when he was approached by a man who demanded he hand everything over. The victim works as a club promoter, and police believe he may have been followed and targeted.

"The victim, who has a concealed weapons permit, pulled a firearm from his waistband and discharged three times," said Captain Al Xiques of Pembroke Pines Police.

Just then, a second suspect joined in and tackled the victim to the ground.

The thieves managed to steal the victim's jewelry, cellphone and his gun. They then ran through a nearby breezeway and disappeared.

Police said they saw blood at the scene of the crime, suggesting that the victim struck at least one of the suspects.

They're currently communicating with area hospitals to see if the suspect has sought medical treatment.

The suspects are described as two black males, one light skinned and one dark skinned.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
