Dramatic video captured the moments where two pit bulls fell into a Fort Lauderdale pool this weekend – with one having to be rescued by a neighbor before they possibly drowned.

Tony Leon, who rents the home, told NBC6.com that the dogs – who he doesn’t believe live with anyone in the neighborhood – made their way into his backyard on Saturday before both fell into the pool.

While one was able to swim toward the shallow end and use the steps to get out, the second dog was trapped in the deep end hanging on for their life.

Minutes later, a neighbor can be seen on camera running to the pool and helping to rescue that dog.

No word has been released on the dog’s condition or whether they were turned over to animal control officials.
