Video showing a frantic fight between a Florida Highway Patrol trooper and an out-of-control car passenger on I-75 in Broward County was released Tuesday.
The FHP dash cam footage shows the Aug. 4 traffic stop by Trooper S.D. Chinchilla that ended in the arrest of 26-year-old Marcel Brown, according to an FHP arrest report.
The report says Chinchilla spotted a speeding car in the northbound lanes of I-75 near I-595 and saw the passenger's leg sticking out of the window.
At first, Brown complied with Chinchilla when the trooper told him to put his leg inside the car, but he then put his leg back outside the window, the report said.
When Chinchilla asked Brown for identification, Brown refused and that's when things got out of hand. The video shows Brown getting out of the car and shoving the trooper as Chinchilla tells him to get back inside and calls for backup.
As they struggle, both men end up inside the car. The trooper said Brown punched him several times.
"I'm gonna Taze you," Chinchilla is heard telling Brown, as the unidentified driver gets out of the car and stands nearby.
The struggle continues and Chinchilla uses the Taser on Brown, who is heard screaming.
"Calm down. What's the matter with you?" Chinchilla says. "Why are you being aggressive, why are you fighting me?"

"What are you saying?" Brown asks. "Everybody else speaks English, you need to understand that."
The report of the incident said both men were taken to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment. Brown was later charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, failure to obey an officer and resisting an officer with violence.
Brown has been appointed a public defender. His next court date is not yet known.
"This simple traffic stop for speeding and someone that wasn't wearing a seatbelt escalates to the fight that was and the subject ended up being Tasered," FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. "The main thing when a trooper makes a traffic stop or any other law enforcement officer makes a traffic stop he has no idea what's going on inside the car. He doesn't know who's inside the car so he wants to be as careful as possible."
