Waterspouts Spotted Along Coastal Waters of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties

Around noon, waterspouts were spotted off of Coconut Grove, Sunny Isles and five miles east of the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Multiple waterspouts were reported along the coastal waters of Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Tuesday as showers moved offshore, the National Weather Service said.

Around noon, the weather service got reports of waterspout sightings off of Coconut Grove, Sunny Isles, and one was spotted five miles east of the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

The weather service said there was no threat of tornadoes because the waterspouts were offshore.

The showers should be tapering off as the afternoon progresses, but there will be a lot of showers to mainland Monroe County.

South Florida should start drying up on Wednesday.
