Weather Forecast: Mainly Dry Friday in South Florida

Lots of sunshine will rule the day, with temps rising to the upper 80s later Friday

It was a nice and calm Friday morning in South Florida, with temps in the mid to upper 70s.

Lots of sunshine will rule the day, with temps rising to the upper 80s later Friday. Conditions should stay mainly dry, aside from a few stray showers this afternoon.

Rain chances go up just a bit during the weekend, with highs remaining in the upper 80s.

The big story Friday is the higher than normal tides in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach, mainly during high tide. The first high tide was at 8:24 a.m., and the second high tide will be around 8:30 p.m. Turning these times, tides will be running almost a foot above normal, so take caution around flooded areas.
