Weather Forecast: Showers and Storms Linger in South Florida Thursday

Highs around 86 Thursday, sunshine should be back Friday

Showers and storms linger in the South Florida forecast again Thursday as a weak front fades away just to the north.

Sunshine will work its way back into the forecast little by little Thursday, and in abundance by Friday. Expect partly cloudy conditions Thursday with highs around 86.

Friday will be partly sunny with highs around 90. While the forecast pattern is nice going into Saturday, storm chances will return by Sunday.

Humberto is still drifting in the Central Atlantic as a tropical depression , posing no threat to land. An area of disturbed weather is meandering just west of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, poised to become a tropical depression in the next day or so. The next named storm will be "Jerry."
