West Palm Beach Asking for Money Reimbursement for Security of President Trump

City officials in West Palm Beach are expected to vote Monday on a resolution asking to be reimbursed for money spent protection President Trump and his family during visits to his Mar-a-Lago resort home.

NBC affiliate WPTV-TV reports city commissioners are expected to vote on submitting a proposal asking for close to $58,000 from the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA for overtime payments to police officers during a nearly one year period ending in September.

The overtime was in conjunction between the city’s police department and the Secret Service. City officials say they have received money in previous years for overtime worked by officers.
