Every school day, tens of thousands of South Florida students hop onto the school bus for what is supposed to be a safe trip. But, who is really driving your kids to and from school?
The NBC 6 investigators took a look at how local school boards monitor school bus drivers and found some drivers blowing through red lights, causing crashes and in some cases, driving with a suspended license.
We uncovered one crash where police issued a ticket to a bus driver for causing her fourth crash in less than six years.
Yet, she's still driving.
Investigators also found a driver who had her license suspended for months. The school board had no idea... until our investigators told them.
