NBC 6 Night with the Florida Panthers

Miami Open

The sporty fun continues this weekend at the Miami Open, now being held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens for the first time in its 35 year history. More than 150 of world’s top tennis players will be hitting the court, including many of your favorites such as Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Roger Federer, and many more. Renaissance Festival Meets Hogwarts

It’s the grand finale of the Florida Renaissance Festival this weekend in Pompano Beach at Quiet Waters Park – and muggles, witches, wizards, and fantasy creatures are joining the party. Wingardium Leviosa off the couch to experience the magic in the Village of Kegsworthy. More details here.

Food and wine, anyone?

The inaugural Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival is underway. The event is the first of its kind in Fort Lauderdale and will feature delicious culinary creations and cocktails from local restaurants, wineries and breweries. Guests can look forward to a weekend on food trucks, cooking demos, tasting events, art installations, music, and more. The event isn’t just for adults. Kids can will also be able to jump around in bounce houses, have their face painted and create their own jewelry. More details here.

Venezuelan Freedom Concert

Venezuelans across South Florida will gather for a free concert on Saturday at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami to show solidarity with their homeland. The "Down with the Chains, a Song of Liberty" freedom concert will kick off at 2 p.m. and will feature singer, songwriter and actor Enrique Divine. Organizers will also be collecting goods and donations for the country during the event. More details here.
