Woman a Person of Interest in Fatal Pompano Beach Shooting: BSO

Authorities say they're looking for a woman who is a person of interest in the killing of a man found shot in a car in a McDonald's parking lot in Pompano Beach.

The Broward Sheriff's Office release photos of the woman and a white 4-door sedan believed to be the suspect's vehicle involved in the Monday morning shooting at the McDonald's at 630 West Sample Road.

The victim, 48-year-old Alex Eichmann, was found shot in a car in the parking lot. He was taken to Broward Health North where he later died.

Eichmann's brother said he was at the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach before stopping at the McDonald's, where he often went after leaving the casino for a bite to eat.

"We just want to know what happened to my brother, that's all," Eric Eichmann said. "He told me he about broke even, which was good. He felt he didn't lose any money, it was a good night for him."

Authorities are asking anyone who was near the area at the time of the incident to come forward, with a reward of up to $3,000 being offered for information leading to an arrest.

"For this to happen and the way it happened, to a beautiful person like him, it's just not fair, just doesn't make sense," Eric Eichmann said.

Anyone with info can call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
