Police say a man whose wife was bludgeoned his wife to death in their St. Petersburg home has been taken into custody near Jacksonville.
According to police, 57-year-old Barbara Warren was killed during an argument at the home early Tuesday. Her husband, 46-year-old Darryl Warren was gone when authorities arrived.
Authorities caught up with him hours later near Bunnell in Flagler County. Deputies found him stopped on the side of a road after he'd experienced car trouble. He offered no resistance when he was arrested.
St. Petersburg police say detectives are in the process of obtaining a first-degree murder warrant.
