Woman goes home with man from bar, steals car while he's sleeping: BSO.

A Hollywood woman is facing theft charges after she went home with an elderly man from a bar and gave him a muscle relaxant then stole his car and cash while he was passed out, police said.

April Acosta, 38, was arrested Thursday on charges of larceny of a victim over 65 and grand theft of a motor vehicle, police and jail records showed. She was being held on $3,500 bond Friday and it was unknown whether she has an attorney.

According to an arrest report, Acosta met the 69-year-old man at Artie's Sports Bar in Hollywood back on Dec. 20, and went back with him to his home in Dania Beach.

Acosta gave the man muscle relaxant and he fell asleep, the report said. When he woke up at noon the next day, his Lincoln Town Car was gone along with his cell phone, $2,300 in cash and other items.

When police found Acosta, she admitted to taking the car, phone and $200, but denied taking the other items, the report said. The car was recovered but none of the other items were found, the report said.
