Woman Hit in Head With Vase During Home Invasion Robbery in Hialeah

Armed suspects hit a woman over the head with a vase during a violent home invasion robbery in Hialeah Friday morning.

The home invasion happened around 8:30 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of East 60th Street, Hialeah Police officials said.

Police said the 46-year-old victim opened her door and was confronted by two masked men, who pointed a gun at her. Once inside, one of the suspects hit her in the head with a flower vase while the other robber ransacked the bedrooms.

The robbers took several items and fled the home. The victim was treated at the scene.

Police haven't released any other description of the suspects. The incident remains under investigation.
