Woman Involved in Miami Beach Bus Stop Hit and Run Released

Woman facing four charges in bus stop crash released on bond

The woman charged in the hit and run crash at a Miami Beach bus stop that sent four people to the hospital was released on bond early Tuesday.

Claudia Gallegos, 28, is charged with four counts of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries in the Monday afternoon crash at the stop at the corner of 72nd Street and Abbott Avenue, according to police.

Police say Gallegos sped away, leaving the four injured victims in the wreckage of the bus stop shelter.

One victim was transported as a trauma alert to Jackson Memorial Hospital, while three other injured people were taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in serious condition.

Two of the victims were released from the hospital Tuesday while the other two were in stable condition, authorities said.

Gallegos was later arrested at a gas station in North Bay Village. She's due back in court next month.

It was unknown whether she has an attorney.
