Miami-Dade Police are looking for a woman who stole beer from a 7-Eleven and injured a clerk as she fled the scene.
The robbery, which was captured on the store's video surveillance system, happened around 3:40 a.m. on April 11 at the 7-Eleven at 10721 Southwest 56th Street, Miami-Dade Police said Wednesday.
Police said the woman grabbed two six-packs of beer and walked past the counter without paying. The clerk, Modesto Legon, followed her outside and told her to pay for the beer.
But the suspect got into a white Honda Civic while Legon held her door open. The woman put the car in reverse, pushed Legon to the ground and fled the area, police said.
Legon suffered a laceration to the back of his head and was treated at the scene.
The suspect is described as a white female, about 5-foot-6 and around 200 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
