Dog's Body Found With ‘WE BEAT IT 2 Death lol!' Note: Pembroke Pines Police

Police in Broward County, Florida, are investigating after a family dog was found dead with a handwritten note attached to its body that read, "WE BEAT IT 2 Death lol!"

The dog, Fox, was found outside the family's condominium on N. French Drive, Pembroke Pines Police said. Officers who were called to the home in reference to a missing 13-year-old Pomeranian canine found the body.

The dog had no visible injuries but it was taken to the Saint Francis Animal Hospital for an examination. Dr. Ron Ridge, a veterinarian, found the dog had multiple fractures that were consistent with blunt force trauma.

He said Fox had 10 broken ribs, missing teeth and a broken back. The vet says Fox was likely kicked to death.

The handwritten note that was taped to the body also had a smiley face, police said.

Fox's owner said he had disappeared less than 24 hours before the body was found.

Police said it appears to be an isolated incident. The death remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
