Accused mail bomber Cesar Sayoc Jr, who allegedly terrorized the country last fall with explosives sent to opponents of President Trump, will enter a guilty plea at a March 21 hearing in Manhattan.

It was not immediately clear which charges were included in the plea.

He was indicted on 30 counts last November in Manhattan federal court, and faced the prospect of life in prison.

Sayoc, 56, was arrested Oct. 26 in Florida. Authorities said he sent improvised explosive devices to numerous Democrats, critics of Trump and CNN.

The scare heightened tensions before the crucial midterm elections, but he was arrested within days.

None of the 16 devices he allegedly mailed around the country ever exploded.
