Yacht Runs Aground Off NYC Harbor

It wasn't clear what caused the yacht to run aground.

A yacht carrying about 100 passengers on an evening dinner cruise ran aground in New York Harbor Saturday night, officials say.

The 100-foot-long Hornblower Cruises vessel was in the Hudson River for a dinner cruise when the boat lost power and was brought ashore on Governor's Island at about 8 p.m., according cruise line.

The FDNY said they received a call at 10:19 p.m. reporting that a vessel had run aground.

The cruise line said it ferried all 91 passengers to another boat and they finished their voyage before returning to a pier in Hudson River Park.

No one was injured, and the cruise line says no one was ever in danger.
