College Custodian Busted for Under-Table Videotaping: Police

A community college custodian on Long Island was arrested Saturday after, police say, he secretly videotaped a female student under a table.

David Marchese, 32, of Islip, was charged with unlawful surveillance, Suffolk County police said.

Investigators said the Suffolk County Community College custodian and the student, whose name was not immediately released, were sitting at the same table during an award ceremony at the college's campus in Brentwood.

A witness saw Marchesa pointing his phone at the female student under a table around 2:30 p.m. Detectives said Marchese had recorded video of the woman's undergarments.

A college spokesman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

It was not immediately clear whether Marchese had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
