Daniel Moran died Tuesday, his family said, one day after celebrating his 22nd birthday.

"He was a good kid, a real good kid," said brother Paul Moran.

While the cause of the incident and what killed Daniel Moran has not yet been confirmed by investigators, his family said it appeared his foot got trapped beneath the rear axle of an 18-wheeler his father was driving while his grandfather stood nearby.

His family in Haslett is devastated.

"Just horrible right now. They’re just depressed. I mean, that’s the youngest one of all three of us, and it's just hard," Paul Moran said.

For the second time in less than a week a worker has died after an accident at a construction site outside of Argyle High School.

Further details about the incident have not been confirmed.

Last Thursday, 36-year-old Julio Ledesma, a single father of three girls, was killed and three others were injured when the metal frame of the under-construction indoor practice facility collapsed at the site. The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.

The Argyle Independent School District called an emergency board meeting Tuesday evening to discuss the future of the construction project, and contractors agreed to halt work on the project along with all other projects in the school district for a comprehensive safety review.

The school board members also voted to hire a safety consultant to advise the district after the pair of fatal construction accidents.

"Those are very tragic events, very tragic," said Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright.

Bruce Helm, principal of Northstar Builders Group, the general contractor on the Argyle construction project, released the following statement Tuesday:

"We are deeply saddened by the deaths of these good men. Our hearts go out to their families, friends and co-workers. Northstar Builders Group is responding with all available resources to ensure the Argyle project goes forward toward a successful completion. We are cooperating fully in the investigation and we do not have all the answers at this time. We look forward to a clear understanding of what happened and the factors that contributed to the accidents."
