Missouri Man Finds Christmas Companionship After Putting Up Wanted Signs

The holiday season can be the most joyous time of the year for many, but not so much for others. 

One man in Joplin, Mo. was tired of spending the holidays alone, so he posted over 20 wanted signs around the city seeking Christmas companionship. 

"I am looking for a friend or a girlfriend, between the ages of 23 and 45," George King told OzarksFirst.com in an interview.

On top of battling health issues - including two heart attacks, six strokes and breaking both legs last year - King was determined not to spend this holiday season alone.

One woman in the same city, also feeling the holiday blues, took a chance and responded to the King's plea for companionship. The two new friends connected in what the woman called "Christmas magic." 

As word spread of King's successful efforts, calls began pouring into the Mossouri TV station. The station opened its mailbox to King so he could recieve notes and Christmas cards, as requested by the public.
