A man will spend 18 to 36 years in prison for repeatedly raping a woman in front of her two young children in her western Pennsylvania home.
Twenty-two-year-old Darius Duncan, of Washington, Pennsylvania, was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty last month to rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and other charges.
Police say Duncan forced his way into the woman's home in November 2013 then beat her until she was unconscious.
After raping her in that state, the victim tried to fight off Duncan, only to be punched in the face, tied up, and blindfolded by Duncan, who then carried her to a bedroom. That's where he raped her several more times while her two children, ages 1 and 2, were present.
