Ohio Teen Spells Out Promposal in 5.5-Mile Run

Over 100,000 people have liked her tweet, saying "But did your prom date run 5.5 miles to ask you"

This pair of high school cross country runners went for a run on their first date, so it stands to reason that Joran Fuller's creative prom proposal to Claire Short would be inspired by their love of the sport.

Fuller, a 17-year-old junior, asked Short to the dance by telling her to open an activity-tracking app on her phone, "Today" reported. She found his latest run, called "Hey Claire," spelled out "Prom?" through the streets of Findlay, Ohio, leaving her ecstatic.

“Each promposal is thoughtful in its own way, but Joran’s was definitely very special to me,” Short, a 16-year-old sophomore, told "Today."

She shared the gesture on Twitter, writing, "But did your prom date run 5.5 miles to ask you." It went viral, with over 100,000 likes and almost 17,000 retweets.
