A 73-year-old man has been arrested in a Feb. 1 hit-and-run that killed a groom-to-be as he changed a tire with his fiance alongside Baltimore-Washington Parkway, the News4 I-Team reports.
Rick Warrick, 38, was killed in the crash. Warrick's fiancée, Julia Pearce, 28, was seriously injured.
Earl Teeter, of Hyattsville, Maryland, turned himself into U.S. Marshals in Greenbelt on Wednesday.
He appeared in federal court in Greenbelt, and was released under supervision of U.S. Pretrial Services. He has been ordered not to operate a vehicle.
Teeter is scheduled for trial June 8.
The high-profile crash also made headlines due to a 911 call made by the victim's 13-year-old daughter as her father lay dying. At one point, the dispatcher interrupted the girl, telling her to "stop whining."
The girl and her younger brother were in the car at the time of the crash. She gave the dispatcher information but struggled to remain calm, pleading with the dispatcher to "hurry up'' and send help, but the operator said he needed the exact location of the crash.

"OK, let's stop whining. Let's stop whining, it's hard to understand you,'' he said.
The dispatcher sounded frustrated when the girl asks him to send help quickly. At one point he asked if there was someone else to whom he could speak.
The Feb. 1 incident triggered an investigation into the call, whose name was not released.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies announced in late February that the dispatcher no longer works for the department.
