Three Dead in Apparent Double Murder-Suicide

Police: Shooter was police officer; 1 victim was firefighter

Three people were found dead early Sunday morning in what police are calling a double murder-suicide in Glen Burnie, Md.

Anne Arundel County police were called to a home in the 1900 block of Armistead Road around 1:35 a.m. When they arrived, they found two men and one woman dead from gunshot wounds.

A preliminary investigation indicated the shooter was one of the deceased and there was a relationship between the shooter and the female victim.

Police have identified the two victims as Andrew Scott Hoffman, 27, of Glen Burnie, and Marie Leanne Edith Hartman, 26, of Glen Burnie. Hoffman was an active member of the Baltimore City Fire Department.

The suspect has been identified as Christopher Lee Robinson, 37, of Abingdon, Md. Robinson was a member of the Baltimore City Police Department.

Police said there is no on-going danger to the community. The investigation continues and while no motive has been established, police said it appears to be a domestic incident.
