Three Generations of D.C. Family Killed in Wreck

Family had been leaving a funeral.

Three members of a Washington, D.C., family were killed in a crash in Prince George's County last weekend while driving home from a funeral.

Isiah Willis, 21, was driving a Mercury Grand Marquis Saturday afternoon on Interstate 95 with his mother, Cindy Willis, 47, and her father, Thomas Willis, 69.

At some point, Isiah Willis ran off the road and slammed into a tree. All three were killed, and police say they were not wearing their seat belts.

News4's Shomari Stone spoke with Thomas Willis' common-law wife of 17 years, LaVera Robertson, who is heartbroken over the loss of her family members.

"I miss him," she said of Thomas. "Every time I come in [the house], I usually see him sitting in a chair. It makes me feel lonesome."

The crash remains under investigation.
