Woman Injured in Fire at Bikini Coffee Stand Dies

Officials say a Washington state woman working in a bikini coffee stand has died days after a fire broke out at the business.

Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg says Courtney Campbell died Monday afternoon.

Assistant Everett Fire Marshal Eric Hicks tells The Daily Herald  that the barista, later identified as Campbell, was inside the stand Thursday afternoon and was burned while escaping the flames.

He says investigators believe a propane tank inside Sinners and Saints Coffee, a stand in Everett where baristas wear bikinis, contributed to the blaze.

The fire reportedly spread to a nearby car before being extinguished.

Hicks says Campbell had recently bought the stand.
