Acting Secretary of Veterans Affairs Sloan Gibson vowed to address the mismanagement that led to the agency's scandal including delays in treatment and cover-ups at nation-wide VA hospitals, NBC News reported. "I will use all available authority to swiftly and decisively address issues of willful misconduct or mismanagement," Gibson said in a statement Monday. He also thanked former Secretary Eric Shinseki for his leadership of the VA, who resigned in wake of the scandal.
