Ellen DeGeneres

Adam Levine, Julianne Moore Talk Parenthood on Ellen

DeGeneres texts Levine for a picture of his little girl nearly every day, and she says she doesn’t know why she hasn’t been named her godmother yet.

Poised with masks and cymbals, Ellen DeGeneres and Adam Levine hide in a nearby restroom before a taping, preying on innocent show-goers who wander into the stalls for their bathroom break.

“I’ve always wanted to be scared by you!” screams one of their victims, after running backwards shaking.

Apparently, DeGeneres read online that being scared is good for you, according to a recent study.

“I know it sounds unbelievable, but I found it on the Internet, so it’s true,” she jokes.

“I scare out of love, that’s what I do,” the notorious prankster adds.

On the Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, Levine also talks about his newborn daughter, Dusty Rose. Levine says that during his wife’s pregnancy, he texted a prospective name to DeGeneres, but she wasn’t enthused. She then recommended a list of names, Dusty Rose among them.

“You basically named my kid,” he says.

With two teenage kids, Julianne Moore is on the flipside of parenthood. When she visits DeGeneres, they mug for the iPhone camera to send a snapchat with a Hello Kitty filter to Moore’s son, who just went off to college.

“We really miss him,” Moore says.
