Brad Pitt And Quentin Tarantino Rewrite History In Cannes Entry ‘Inglourious Basterds'

Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt have spun some revisionist history on how World 'War II ended.

Their Cannes Film Festival premiere, "Inglourious Basterds," presents an epic saga of a band of Jewish Allied soldiers led by Pitt who play a pivotal role in taking down the Third Reich.

The band's exploits culminate in a bloodbath plot to take out top German leaders at the premiere of a Nazi propaganda film in Paris.

"Inglourious Basterds" screened for reporters Wednesday morning, and afterward, Pitt praised Tarantino's "outrageous" vision for the movie.

The film gets its gala premiere at Cannes later.
