A drug investigator who worked in Yuba County, California, is accused of joining traffickers, NBC News reported.
Christopher Mark Heath, 37, was arrested late last month in rural West Manheim Township, Pennsylvania, along with two alleged partners.
Police said they intercepted a planned delivery, and found more than 122 pounds of pot along with roughly $11,000 in cash. Heath admitted to driving the bundles — worth about $2 million — across the country, according to court documents.
Heath, who was placed on leave from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, has been released on $1 million bail, court documents said. He and his alleged partners are to appear in a York County, Pennsylvania, court next month.
