Clothing Retailer James Perse Lists Chic L.A. Crib

The contemporary spread owned by clothing retailer James Perse is just as luxurious and effortlessly chic as the t-shirt collection that first put Perse on the fashion map. Perse's modern home is on the market for $3.75 million, and while its stunning design will impress any fashionista, the home only features one bedroom, which seems a little bare bones for such an expensive pad. Perse's home is located at 1432 Oriole Street, which puts it in the enviable and celeb-laden "Bird Street" area above the Sunset Strip. The t-shirt king has owned the home since 1998 when he bought it for $875,000.

According to his website, Perse was born in L.A. in 1972 (well after this house was first built). And in 1994, he launched a t-shirt line "that rapidly gained loyal fans looking for a seamless blend of luxe and casual."

The 2,300-square-foot home boasts a stream of floor-to-ceiling glass windows that not only allow an abundance of sunlight into the home, but casually blend the interior and exterior spaces.

Perse is obviously quite a fan of pristine white walls and a minimalist design, which are exemplified in the living room.

The open eat-in kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a wooden breakfast counter. Judging by the impeccable nature of the kitchen we guess that Perse is either a neat freak or he has a housekeeper clean the place quite often.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Perse's contemporary abode has been rented out in recent years, and is in fact, available for lease at $14,500 per month.

A view of the one and only bedroom in the home. While we admit that it's a stunner, $3.75 million for one bedroom seems a bit steep.

At least there is more than one bathroom in the home, 1 3/4 to be exact.

The swanky Sunset Strip pad is situated on .36 acres of land and is even offered fully furnished, if Perse's minimalist clean design is to your liking.
