David O. Russell to Go from Boxing to Buxom Women

Looks like "The Fighter" director David O. Russell is going to have his, ahem, hands full.

Mark Wahlberg has been talking up a return to the Micky Ward story (or even multiple returns) , and now Deadline reports that Fox Searchlight wants Russell to take on a biopic of legendary exploitation film mogul Russ Meyer.

Meyer, of course, made his name churning out cheap grindhouse fare starring ridiculously buxom women which he wrote, directed, produced, distributed, and probably catered. His most famous (or infamous) titles included "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" and "Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens."

Meyer passed away in 2004 at the age of 82.

James Franco is rumored to be interested in the lead, and "Temple Grandin" writer Merritt Johnson will be handling script duties, once Fox secures the rights to the biography "Big Bosoms and Square Jaws: The Biography of Russ Meyer, King of the Sex Film" by Jimmy McDonough.
