Here's That “Social Network” Poster You've Been Dying For

Jesse Eisenberg can be seen trying to channel his dark inner-badass on the new poster for "The Social Network," an idea only marginally less ridiculous than Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg having one.

But of course Zuckerberg, played by Eisenberg in "The Social Network," appears to have a nefarious side. The film, based on Ben Mezrich's book "The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal," purports to chronicle the allegedly underhanded way in which Zuckerberg is said to have stolen the idea for the massively popular website from fellow Harvard students Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss, and Nishita Narendr.

The poster, which debuted on the film's site, looks great, with its close-up of Eisenberg overwritten with the tagline, "You don't make 500 million friends without making a few enemies." Too true...

We'll confess to thinking that a movie about Facebook is even dumber than Facebook itself, but the site has about 500 million more users than this one, so what do we know?

That said there is a mountain of talent behind this film, starting with director David Fincher, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, and a cast that includes Eisnenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and Rashida Jones.

Wikipedia is claiming that a teaser is on its way on June 25, with trailer dropping on August 6, but the site sheepishly admits "citation needed." What we all agree on is that the film itself will be here Oct. 1.
