Will Kanye West have to make a little room next to his Grammys for a possible future Emmy Award?
Rap superstar Kanye took his first foray into the world of animated television last week when he attended the table read of FOX's new animated series, "The Cleveland Show," a spin-off of "Family Guy," Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to "The Cleveland Show" executive producer Mike Henry, the rapper is well on his way to a second successful career as an animated voice talent.
"It was surprising to us that [he] was so into it that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was," Mike told People. "He's just a great presence."
Kanye will voice a character named Kenny West, a small-time rapper.
"We knew Kanye was a big 'Family Guy' fan because he invited [creator] Seth [MacFarlane] to his house a year or two ago," Mike, who also voices Cleveland Brown and other characters on the show, added. "And there was a mention on his blog when the spin-off was announced that he was excited about it. We knew he was a big fan and a lot of us are fans of his."
In addition to his voice talents, Kanye also exercised a bit of his lyrical skills when it came to one line of his dialogue.
"Before we came to the table… there was only one line he didn't love and he came up with another idea and in a completely modest, nice way said, 'Would you mind if I changed just this one line?' And our feeling was, how many raps have we written? One? And how many has he written? Be our guest!" "Cleveland" executive producer Richard Appel explained to the mag.
Will Kanye become a regular on the upcoming FOX series?
"We just recorded him in the booth and he was fantastic," Richard added. "Once he read it a couple times through, he just owned the character, which I guess isn't hard since he was named Kenny West. He said he'd be glad to [be back.]. I said we could write him in to the next 21 episodes!"
In addition to Kanye, Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson is also starring in the episode slated to run in 2010. "The Cleveland Show" debuts in fall 2009 on FOX.
