“Lopez Tonight” Axed By TBS

After only two seasons, "Lopez Tonight" has finished its run.

TBS has released an official statement saying that the late night talk show hosted by comedian George Lopez would not be renewed for a third season.

TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight," says the statement. "Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.

This season, Lopez was forced to leave his 11:00 time slot and switch to midnight to accommodate Conan O'Brien's new talk show. The show averaged less than a million viewers in the first slot, and dropped 40% after the move.

Reruns of "The Office" will temporarily replace "Lopez Tonight."
