Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter's Divorce Final

"Dexter" stars filed for divorce nearly a year ago.

"Dexter" co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter have officially killed off their marriage.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John Sandoz finalized the uncontested divorce on Friday, The Associated Press reported.

Carpenter filed for divorce nearly a year ago, citing irreconcilable differences. The pair wed in December 2008.

"Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce," they said in a joint statement last December.

Reps for both stars said at the time the split was "amicable."

Court filings state the details of the division of property will remain confidential.

Hall plays Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who targets other murderers on the hit Showtime series, which is now in its sixth season.

Carpenter plays Hall's sister, a Miami police detective who is often on the trail of her brother's victims, but does not know he is a killer.

The actress had stood by Hall's side while he was being treated for Hodgkin's lymphoma.
