A suburban Detroit police officer will face charges of mistreatment of a prisoner and assault with intent to do great bodily harm after he was captured on a dash-cam video kicking and punching a driver he had stopped. In addition, a drug-possession charge against the driver will be dropped. The police officer has been fired from his job.
