Bald Eagle Attacks Alaska Post Office Patrons

A rogue pair of bald eagles in Anchorage has become fond of attacking Post Office customers, one even drawing blood. The eagles are raising newly-hatched chicks for the second year in a row, which may account for their string of erratic behavior, Reuters reports. Another patron witnessed an eagle swoop by with a fish in its talons. Though not protected as an endangered species, certain federal laws dictate the birds not be disturbed unless humans are in clear danger. According to wildlife specialists, bald eagles are fiercely protective of their young.
