Crews to Scour Cruise Ship Clean of Nasty Norovirus

The bug that sickened nearly 650 Royal Caribbean cruise ship passengers was likely norovirus, a notoriously sticky and hard-to-battle virus, according to NBC News. Noroviruses can linger on plates even after they've been washed, settle on fresh laundry and survive a quick bleach wipe-down. Those cleaning the Explorer of the Seas will be scouring every square inch of the ship, soaking carpets in disinfectant, cleaning lamps and even bedside bibles, according to NBC News.
