Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh Offers Discounted Vacations to Increase Tourism

The city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, whose beaches attracted travelers around the world, has seen a decrease in tourism, according to NBC News. As Cairo continues to define itself post-revolution, Sharm el-Sheikh no longer sees as many people in its Red sea resorts. The Sinai Peninsula has seen less business because tourists perceive Egypt as unstable and unsafe. However, this is slowly changing due to discounted cheaper vacation packages that offer a much cheaper rate than before President Hosni Mubarak was ousted. The reduced rate is drawing visitors back into Egypt.
