Feds Destroy Huge Pot Farm In California

Law enforcement officials have dug up hundreds of thousands of marijuana plants from a national forest in northern California, they said Friday. 100 arrests were made and 460,000 plants uprooted, and 1,500 pounds of cured pot, 27 guns and 11 vehicles were seized. The 900,000-acre pot forest—a plot of land larger than Rhode Island. According to the county sheriff, officials chose this summer to focus their regular investigations on Mendocino National Forest after they were swamped with complaints by citizens who had confronted the pot plants' armed guards.
