GOP's Brightest Lights Dim: Scandal Dogs 2016 Hopefuls

More and more high-profile Republican governors are battling setbacks political and legal, from the former Virginia governor's increasingly seamy corruption trial to the New Jersey governor's bridge closure scandal to the Texas governor's new indictment on abuse of power charges. Those battles could threaten the political futures of the men long thought the GOP's best hopes for a shot at the White House in 2016. Still, one nonpartisan political analyst points out that the GOP hopefuls may not be the only ones carrying plenty of baggage, given the presumed Democratic front-runner.
