R&B superstar Rihanna will be forced to take the stand against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who is charged with pummeling her in his Lamborghini in February after she complained about a text message he got from another woman.
Prosecutors will subpoena Rihanna, 21, for a June 22 hearing in Los Angeles, where Brown's standing trial on two felony counts, Us magazine reported.
Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, said Rihanna would be willing to take the stand against Brown, who pleaded not guilty to the charges. Brown beat Rihanna black and blue as the pair drove home from a Grammy night bash in Hollywood, according to cops.
"The DA has advised me that she will be subpoenaed [to testify]," Etra said. "She absolutely will comply."
Rihanna would also be subject to a potentially emotional cross-examination by Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, Etra said.
Geragos attempted to file for a mistrial after cops leaked photos of a beaten Rihanna to the press, but was unsuccessful in getting access to police records that could've proven who let the pics loose.
Brown, 20, spoke out for the first time about the Rihanna incident this week, telling fans in a YouTube video that he isn't a "monster."

The "Run It" singer Brown was also slapped with a lawsuit Wednesday by a photographer who alleges Brown's bodyguards roughed him up at a Los Angeles basketball court in March.
If he's convicted of the Rihanna assault, Brown faces up to four years and eight months in state prison.
