Woman, 60, Mistakenly Listed as Glasgow Tourist Attraction

Travel planning website TripAdvisor is known for connecting users with traveler reviews of hotels, restaurants and attractions — but one listing is getting a lot of attention because it is not an attraction at all, unless you happen to be a friend of hers. A listing in the museum section for Glasgow, Scotland is titled “Mary Johnson.” A 60-year-old woman by that name lives in Glasgow, but she says she did not set up the attraction page with her name and (sideways) photo on it. After the “Mary Johnson” attraction was created on the site, TripAdvisor automatically asked users if they’d “been to Mary Johnston?” Some users noticed the error but played along and posted reviews. "This attraction wasn’t in the guidebooks but is fun for all the family if you’re a fan of people called Mary or rotationally-challenged photos," one user wrote, according to NBC News.
