President Obama will travel to Charleston on Friday to deliver the eulogy for Rev. Clementa Pinckney, a South Carolina state senator and pastor at the Emanuel AME Church where Pickney and eight others were gunned down last week, the White House confirmed Monday. Vice President Joe Biden will also travel with the president for the funeral service.The Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church is one of the oldest and most iconic African-American churches in the United States. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Monday called for the removal of the Confederate battle flag from its place at the South Carolina State House.
