With fewer than one percent of high school girls expressing interest in majoring in computer science, Google and several partners in the tech industry and elsewhere launched a new project Thursday that aims to get girls into tech. The project, dubbed "Made with Code" will familiarize young girls and women with coding and 3-D printing. Google and Yahoo released diversity reports recently that showed their employees are overwhelmingly male. Seventy percent of Google staffers are men, as are 62 percent of Yahoo staffers.
