Officials in Texas on Thursday said they may sue the Department of Homeland Security after a request by the state for $30 million for border enforcement went unanswered, NBC News reported. Texas State Attorney General Greg Abbott said if the federal government won't secure the border than his state will be forced to sue it to recover the costs of enforcement. Abbott sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Jonnson on June 12 asking for money to combat drug smugglers.
